Where do you meet someone arriving at Terminal 1?
Arriving passengers come out on the lower level of Terminal 1, and that is where the pickup curb is. Arrivals and departures sit on separate levels at every JFK terminal, so driving to the departures curb is the most common wasted trip at this airport. International arrivals clear immigration and baggage first, which takes longer than the landing time suggests: watch the live Terminal 1 arrivals board until the flight actually shows as landed, then set off. Waiting in a car? JFK's cell phone lot is free for waiting drivers; details on the park at JFK without overpaying page.
Where do you park at Terminal 1?
Terminal 1 has no colour-named lot we can confirm. Several parking sites list a colour-named lot for Terminal 1. We checked the Port Authority parking page and its booking FAQ and could not confirm one, so we are not repeating it. Park in the long-term lot or off-site and check what is actually open on the official booking page before you drive.
What it costs is the same question everywhere at JFK, and the honest answer is that the airport publishes no public rate card: what parking at JFK really costs has the $35 daily maximum, the two taxes nobody quotes, and the three free waiting options for anyone collecting an arrival rather than leaving a car.
Lounges at Terminal 1
Terminal 1 has lounges, including at least one in the Priority Pass network, so a business or first class ticket, airline status, a credit card with lounge access, a Priority Pass membership, or a paid day pass can all be a way in. Which of those actually opens a door at Terminal 1 is on the JFK lounge access by terminal page.
